Turns out we still have a little bit of propane left - I went to the valve to shut it off to disconnect it so we could get the tank filled.  Well about that time, I realized that the valve was OFF already.  I can't quite figure out how that happened since I distinctly remember turning on the valve and then not touching it again (we have a solenoid that controls it from the galley so that's why we don't turn it on and off at the tank each time).

Also it turns out that I scratched my cornea (I think) the other day when I was lazy and slept in my contacts.  It's not too big of a deal and is healing nicely, except I keep hitting my head on things to my left (left eye has no contact in it all day) and stumble around a bit.  I thought it was an infection at first (insert inappropriate joke about transmission from Janet's UTI here), but now I'm pretty sure it's just a scratch, which is somehow better.  I haven't found my glasses yet, which would alleviate the lack of left-eye vision problem. . .

Fixed the generator today, so now we are charging at 30-35 amps as opposed to the measly 4 amps that we were charging at the past few days.  We use about 5-7 amps with the 'fridge, lights, and fans so it feels good to be on the positive end again.  It was just a loose inline fuse, but harder to find than one would expect (especially since I didn't even realize there was an inline fuse for quite some time).  That means we put off starting the diesel for at least a day.

We're trying to figure out what to do when Ben gets here and what to do before he gets here.  It looks like we can get our paperwork straight by checking out of the port (and country technically) on Monday and check back in on Tuesday which will give us some haul out location flexibility for when Ben is here - haul out here at Opequimar or down south a bit, say Manzanillo.  Manzanillo has the added benefit of temporary import permits being available there (none in PV for some unknown reason).  Of course, there is a lot to do before we'd be ready to leave here (like start the diesel, get the head up and running, get the dingy blown up and it's outboard running, etc.) and having Ben's help on our first overnighter would also be helpful. . .we'll just have to see how things go!

After our day, we had a plan to go to the beach near here and get some quesadillas and 2for1 drinks, but somehow ended up eating surf and turf - not a bad substitute!  On the way back we saw Tom and Dan on Persistence and they had us over for a coupla beers and tried to talk us into going for an overnight sail tomorrow.  We're really really tempted, but feel that our boat is calling us to finish our stuff here.

The marina is starting to fill up with Ha-Ha folks (the Baja Ha-Ha is an organized cruise by the Latitude 38 magazine that starts in San Diego and ends up in Cabo on the Baja peninsula - 180 some odd boats participated this year - google it for more info) which is good and bad.  Some cool people seem to be arriving, but it's also feeling a tad crowded as folks migrate from Cabo over to here.

I caught my first SSB (single side band radio, it's high frequency kinda like ham radio) broadcast today and it was weather (I think by this guy named Don?) and talked about hurricane Sergio(?) headed up the Mexican coast.  It is supposed to head west and avoid PV, but everyone is talking about it and I'll be staying tuned just in case.  And they say no hurricanes after Nov 1st!!!!  Anyway, no one should worry as we are in a very protected marina (and is why Ben chose this one) and surrounded by folks who know what to do.

With that, good night, sorry no more pictures yet. . .
