Another entry from Janet, I still haven't edited, so insert disclaimers here:

We had a nice visit today with Barb & Mick On "Navigator Seattle".  Had a a few drinks and and got a tour of their boat.  They are heading back to Seattle tomorrow for a 10-day pre-holiday visit. Before that, we were cleaning/organizing and at about 1 p.m., Eric fell asleep on his berth with a beer in his hand.  The nap seemed to be contagious as I fell asleep soon after on my berth.  I should mention that it was really really hot, although I know I will get no sympathy whatsoever for that. About an hour later, we were woken up by the crashing sound of the beer can on the floor.  (Okay, now that it's my turn to write the log we happen to be back in the Marina and not out doing exciting sailing stuff, so it's hard for me to come up with material!)  The most exciting thing that happened today was that Eric strung our Christmas lights up the mast!!  The only problem is they have four cycles (including off) and they keep going through the four cycles because Eric thinks there was a remote control that came with them and they might be sensitive to any infrared remote.  Or maybe there's just a loose connection... in any case they seem to have a mind of their own and it has been quite entertaining.  Actually, the original plan was for him to climb up the mast (only up to the spreaders) and put up our new Mexican flag, but we needed two halyards for that (one for the stepladder and one tied to his safety harness), and a third halyard to string up the Christmas lights.  Turns out the third halyard, which is there just as a spare, had a connector that was rusted shut, so Eric had to work that loose for quite awhile and by the time he got it loose it was too dark to climb the mast.  So we just ate dinner on deck while we admired our Christmas lights.  Anyway, it seems we will be hanging out here until Tuesday or so, when Eric expects his glasses to be in..
